How good will Patriots offense be at Super Bowl XLII?
Now THAT is probably the question people ask more this year than asking for the next Britney meltdown.
Because quite frankly, the Patriots offense has been good, REALLY REALLY good. Hell, these guys didn't earn their Super Bowl XLII tickets for nothing and it is because of that ridiculously talented offense that got them to the big dance.
And in case you haven't heard about it by now, these New England Patriots, along with their talented offense, will be taking on Eli Manning and the rest of the New York Giants in Glendale, Arizona.
With all due respect to the New York Giants fans out there, save yourselves the trouble and just go and watch something else on Sunday because the Patriots offense will just be too good for Michael Strahan's boys. You can take that to the bank.
Take Tom Brady for example. The New England Patriots quarterback had a total of 578 pass attempts during the regular season, and had 28 total pass attempts during the 2008 NFL playoffs. Brady threw over 30 pass attempts in 12 out of 16 regular season games so you can just imagine how strong that arm really is.
Against the New York Giants in Week 17, Tom Brady had a total of 42 pass attempts. Bodog has odds on whether Tom Brady can go for over 37 pass attempts at the Super Bowl against the same Giants defense, yes, that's as easy as it can get in placing a wager people.
Brady's favorite target, Randy Moss, on the other hand, is also having one helluva' year himself. Moss had 1493 total pass receptions and 98 total receiving yards during the 2007-08 NFL football season. Sure, he was not as explosive during this year's postseason, tallying total pass receptions of 14 with his total receiving yards down to 1.
However, he performed well against the New York Giants secondary back in that fateful Week 17 match-up. He received 100 yards and 6 receptions, scoring for two TDs to help the Pats win the game.
You can bet your ass Moss can score two more over the Giants secondary this Sunday.
