Packers - Giants: Who'll win Super Bowl XLII ticket?
It's the Packers and the Giants people and yes, I'll be rooting for Favre.
After three retirement attempts and three last hurrahs, Brett Favre finds himself a win away from punching in a ticket to Super Bowl XLII in Glendale, Arizona. How about that huh? The Green Bay Packers are rolling and they can't help but smile and say CHEESE.
Yep, you read it, the Green Bay Packers are one win away from the Super Bowl. They play hosts to the New York Giants in the frozen tundra of Lambeau Field for the 2008 NFC championship game. The team that wins this one will probably play the Patriots in Glendale because, let's face it, the Chargers really won't even stand a chance in their AFC title game with New England.
The Green Bay Packers have been dominating the NFC since day one with the Dallas Cowboys. Many people were expecting a Packers - Cowboys faceoff for the NFC title with both sitting one and two in the NFC for most of the regular season.
Thanks to the New York Giants, the Dallas Cowboys were eliminated after the Giants denied them, 21-17, in last weekend's NFC divisional playoff encounter.
Of course, Brett Favre ain't complaining on missing out with another crack at them Cowboys because the last time he faced the Cowboys defense, he went down with an elbow injury after only two quarters, leading to a 37-27 loss to the Cowboys in what was a battle between the two best teams in the NFC.
The New York Giants defense expect to bring the same kind of heat on the immortal Brett Favre this Sunday. New York's pass rush is one of the key factors why they are where they are this Sunday.
Hell, Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo experienced how dominant the Giants pass rush can be. And yep, that's why Romo is now 0-2 in postseason campaigns.
The Giants won 12 of its last 16 games thanks to that defense and, yeah sure, you can also thank Eli Manning for that. But what were the Giants doing before that, mean streak, if you will? They were losing to the Packers BIG, 35-13.
Who will win the 2008 NFC championship game between the Green Bay Packers and the New York Giants? AcesAce Sportsbook has the odds.
