Chargers VS Colts in NFL Divisional Playoffs

seth-edward-oneal.jpgThis should've happened last year.

Last season, the Indianapolis Colts and the San Diego Chargers were the two most dominant team coming from the AFC and if it wasn't for the New England Patriots beating the Chargers on their own field, (celebrating on their own BOLTS logo... hee hee...) the best AFC team last season could've been decided.

In the 2008 NFL playoffs, we will have a chance to find out just who is really better. Well, who was actually. Because in case you were living under a rock lately, the Patriots just dominated not only the AFC, but the entire league this season, whereas the Chargers struggled with a slow start while the Colts stood in the shadow of Tom Brady all year.

STILL, both the Indianapolis Colts and the San Diego Chargers will be playing for an opportunity to win the richest prize in all of football, the Super Bowl. On Sunday, one team will end their campaign while the other moves on probably to play the Pats in the AFC championship game.

The Colts come in this AFC divisional game with a monster back in Joseph Addai. However, as good as Addai has been for the Colts this season, San Diego's run defense was as good. He he... Yep, it's a good ol' fashioned offense vs. defense here people.

We all know Indianapolis Colts quarterback Peyton Manning can pass the ball. That makes runningback Joseph Addai the X-factor if the Colts want to win this game. Addai added (no pun intended...) a new dimension to this Colts offense.

Yeah, sure, the Colts' run offense only ranks 16th in the league but when you already have a killer passing game behind Super Bowl MVP Peyton Manning, having a running game to go side-by-side with it is not bad.

Not bad at all.

Who should you take? The Indianapolis Colts of course. These guys are destined for a rematch with AFC rivals New England Patriots since losing to them back in the regular season. The San Diego Chargers would have to fire Norv Turner and get Marty Schottenheimer back.
