Patriots VS Colts, nothing more needs to be said...
Yes, this is the match-up we've all been waiting for.
The 8-0 New England Patriots play the 7-0 Indianapolis Colts in a rematch of the 2007 AFC championship game. Yes, both teams are undefeated heading for this Sunday's classic encounter and boy, you just know business is about to pick up this 2007-08 NFL football season.
First, the New England Patriots. Led by the best quarterback in the league right now, Tom Brady, the Patriots were able to engineer a dominant eight-game winning streak no team has able to put an end yet.
They are still on their way in becoming the second team in NFL history to post a perfect 16-0 regular season record since the Miami Dolphins did it in 1972 and with the way Tom Brady and the rest of his 'Brady Bunch' are trashing teams right now, averaging 40+ points per game, the '72 Dolphins record is in danger for sure. Of course, thanks to Randy Moss and all the other parts this New England team was able to put together in the offseason.
As for the Indianapolis Colts, it seems everybody is so fixated at the Patriots right now that the Colts are just breezing through the season STILL unnoticed. However, the Colts claim they like it that way as that will probably let them play without any pressure from the media.
Back in the 2007 AFC championship game, Peyton Manning led the Colts, engineering a BIG comeback in the second half to eliminate the Patriots to advance to Super Bowl XLI before winning it in Miami, Florida for their first championship in the Peyton Manning era.
Of course, Brady didn't have Randy Moss then. And yep, these guys were not scoring 40+ points per game yet like they are this season. This Sunday, expect the New England Patriots to outlast the Indianapolis Colts -6.5 baby.
Sorry Peyton but these Patriots are just invincible right now.
