Allan Houston returns to the New York Knicks

seth-edward-oneal.jpgIf you've been watching a lot of space shuttle movies lately, surely, you've been hearing a lot of ''Houston, we have a problem.''

And while that has really NOTHING to do with this article whatsoever, it'll probably set you up for the inevitable. Ladies and gentlemen, after two years out of basketball, Allan Houston returns to the New York Knicks. And in this case, Houston will DEFINITELY be the one to have a problem.

Aside from the fact that the New York Knicks are coming off yet another miserable year coming to the new 2007-08 NBA basketball season, these guys are STILL just LOADED with shooting guards. That means no matter who they get, if he's a guard, he'll just be scrambling for playing time or see his career go down the drain.

Classic example of course is Steve Francis. That's why the guy's back with the Houston Rockets.

Despite the ''guard traffic jam'' they have in New York, not to mention the salary cap struggle, Allan Houston decided to come out of retirement, make a return with the New York Knicks and probably don his familiar No.20 jersey again.

Why in the heck did Houston return to the Knicks? Houston claims, ''I believe I can still have an impact on the game.'' He he...

Is this guy serious? The only impact he'll have is just jam New York's guard depth chart. Hell, they already have Quentin Richardson and Jared Jeffries, all playing out of position as forwards because the Knicks just have too many guards already.

Add Allan Houston, a prototypical shooting guard back in the day, to that equation and Knicks coach Isiah Thomas will have a headache even worse than the the one he's having dealing with Anucha Browne Sanders. And in case you don't know her, why don't you just ask her how Thomas harassed her in NYC.

Let's hope that this entire thing works out for New York. After all, with the New York Yankees now out of the 2007 MLB playoffs, Allan Houston and the rest of the Knicks are the only thing going for the city now. Oh yeah, let's hope Houston doesn't end up regretting coming out of retirement for these sick fucks from New York too.
