2007-08 NFL Football Week 6 Betting Picks
Alright, we'll try to look at the rest of the games this week and stop salivating over the Patriots - Cowboys game this Sunday.
Yes, it's Week 6 of the 2007-08 NFL football season as three unbeaten... DAMMIT... The New England Patriots and the Dallas Cowboys will be facing-off people! Tom Brady VS Tony Romo! Randy Moss VS Terrell Owens! Laurence Maroney VS Marion Barber! Ben Watson VS Jason Witten! (Okay... Maybe that last one will be a little lopsided. And NO, Jason won't get the better of Ben, EVER.
Yes, the New England Patriots visit the Dallas Cowboys at Texas Stadium as two 5-0 teams face-off, each trying to remain as one of the teams in the NFL yet to taste defeat. Of course, one has to lose and see that perfect record tarnished with a loss. And if I was a betting man, it'll probably be them Cowboys losing.
Why? How? Well for one, Tony Romo, as hot as he is right now, ain't a Tom Brady yet. We all saw that when he threw FOUR interceptions to the Buffalo Bills last Monday night that almost cost them the goddamn game. And don't get me started with last year's botched field goal attempt in the playoffs.
Tony Romo is good, yes, but in big time games like this one they'll be having on Sunday, the guy simply chokes. Hell, he's probably thinking about them Pats already when they had the Bills, that's why he almost cost his team the game with four INTs. Jeez...
Besides, Randy Moss is having a better season so far than Dallas' wideout Terrell Owens. Moss already has SEVEN TDs to Owens' trio. Expect the New England Patriots to win -6.5 over the Dallas Cowboys to remain unbeaten. What a game this is shaping up to be.
On Sunday Night Football, the struggling New Orleans Saints (still waiting to win a single goddamn game...) will visit the Seattle Seahawks at Qwest Field to get their asses handed to them for the fifth straight week.
I've already given up on New Orleans Saints running back Reggie Bush. With all the hype surrounding the guy before this season kicked off, he has only scored two TDs so far with a dismal 36.8 rushing yards per game. Ugh.
Expect the Seattle Seahawks to win -6.5 and hand the New Orleans Saints yet another loss that they'll just be begging for another hurricane just to have the magic they had last season back.
Finally, Monday Night Football concludes Week 6 with the New York Giants and the Atlanta Falcons in a game where Plaxico Burress should have a field day dropping them TDs.
The Atlanta Falcons don't have anyone at quarterback. And in case you didn't get that, I don't consider Joey Harrington as one. Sure, Eli Manning ain't any good either but hey, as long as I see Joey behind center, trying to form some kind of weird offensive scheme for the Falcons, I'll take Eli.
Expect the New York Giants to ACCIDENTALLY win -3.5 over the pathetic Atlanta Falcons.
As always, here's the rest of them games for Week 6.
Cincinnati Bengals -2.5 over the Kansas City Chiefs.
Houston Texans -3.5 over the Jacksonville Jaguars
Cleveland Browns (yes, Cleveland...) -1.5 over the Miami Dolphins.
Chicago Bears -6.5 over the Minnesota Vikings.
Philadelphia Eagles -2.5 over the New York Jets.
Baltimore Ravens -13.5 over the St. Louis Rams.
Tennessee Titans -6.5 over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
Green Bay Packers -6.5 over the Washington Redskins. (Because these guys won't let what happened against Chicago happen to them two weeks in a row...)
Carolina Panthers -1.5 over the Arizona Cardinals.
San Diego Chargers -6.5 over the Oakland Raiders. (Unless Daunte Culpepper shocks the world again...)
