2007-08 NFL Football Week 7 Betting Picks

It has been seven weeks of NFL football folks and we still have two teams yet to taste defeat on that football field.

Yep, the New England Patriots and the Indianapolis Colts, two rivals from the AFC, are still undefeated and are still on that road to match the mark set by the 1972 Miami Dolphins, that being finishing a single season PERFECT. And as the 2007-08 NFL football season heads for Week 7, you can bet your ass we'll be watching these two teams and wait who'll blink first.

The New England Patriots, the heavy favorites to win it all this season, ironically have the now pathetic Miami Dolphins on Sunday as they try to keep their bid to match the mark set by these Dolphins' 1972 counterparts alive.

This year's version of the Miami Dolphins is ridiculously pathetic. Let me get that one out first. While the '72 Dolphins went for a season undefeated, these Dolphins are going through a season winless. Hee hee... They are currently hobbling at a humiliating 0-6 stand, letting them become only one of two teams yet to taste a win this year. The St. Louis Rams being the other one.

Expect the New England Patriots to bitch-slap the Miami Dolphins -13.5 at home.

On Sunday Night Football, the Pittsburgh Steelers visit INVESCO Field to play the Denver Broncos. After a disappointing season following their Super Bowl win, this year's version of the Steelers are back with what they do best and that's on defense.

Hell, the 'Steel Curtain' leads the league on defense, giving up only 235 yards per game. And while Pittsburgh and Denver probably cancel each other out in terms of limiting a team's passing game (both Denver and Pittsburgh rank 1 and 2 respectively...) Ben Roethlisberger is still waaay better than Denver's young quarterback Jay Cutler. Of course, the Steelers also have one more thing that Denver doesn't.

That being one killer running back.

Willie Parker is slowly becoming one of the elite running backs in the league. Sure, he is yet to make plenty of trips to the endzone this season but with a 100+ yards per game guaranteed any given week, Parker makes it THAT much easier for the Steelers to score.

Expect the Pittsburgh Steelers to run over the Denver Broncos on Sunday night -6.5 folks.

The defending Super Bowl champions Indianapolis Colts, probably forgotten already with the ridiculously strong performances coming from their rival Patriots each week, are still undefeated too and when they take on the Jacksonville Jaguars at ALLTEL Stadium for Monday Night Football, expect these Colts to keep their undefeated streak going.

Why? Well, for one, Peyton Manning is still playing. Two, he still has two of the best receivers in football today, Marvin Harrison and Reggie Wayne. While David Garrard probably has stabilized the quarterback situation in Jacksonville for now, the Jaguars don't have anyone else to carry them past Indianapolis other than Garrard on Monday night.

Maurice Jones-Drew you say? After becoming such a fantasy football steal last season, Maurice Jones-Drew is having quite a slow year so far, scoring only three touchdowns for 307 yards after six weeks of football. Expect the Colts' Joseph Addai to smoke his ass faster than a Lambo on a broken-down Toyota.

Pick the Indianapolis Colts to win -6.5 over the Jacksonville Jaguars to remain on top of the AFC South.

Here's the rest of them picks for Week 7.
