Sooners back in form this 2007 College Football Season

seth-edward-oneal.jpgBut still, they have that sour taste in their mouths after dropping a game at Colorado.

Yeah sure, that's more than a couple of weeks ago, surely, with Oklahoma now standing at 6-1 this 2007 NCAA college football season, they probably have forgotten that upset already right?

Well, not quite. With the way the BCS rankings are put together as if an eight-year-old was doing it, losing a single game could prove to be huge if you want to stay in the hunt for the BCS title in January.

Last Saturday, they vented all their frustrations on the then unbeaten Missouri Tigers. The Oklahoma Sooners won 41-31 and although it was not really a statement game like some of us expected of Oklahoma, it was still a win that probably brought them back to BCS championship form.

Of course, Oklahoma Sooners head coach Bob Stoops was happy about the win.

''To win against a good team here is good,'' Sooners coach Bob Stoops said. ''All wins are good, and I appreciate that part of it.''

The Oklahoma Sooners defense forced FOUR TURNOVERS last Saturday and one of those became their fourth touchdown of the season. Yep, these guys are definitely becoming Bears-like eh? Well, maybe not this version of the Chicago Bears but the NFC champion Bears of last season.

Oh yeah, redshirt freshman Sam Bradford is playing like a senior for the Oklahoma Sooners at quarterback too. He completed 24 of 34 passes for 266 pass yards and two touchdowns against a very unfortunate Missouri defense.

As of press time, the Oklahoma Sooners are lucky that despite dropping a game at Colorado, this season has been full of upsets lately that they are fortunate to sit at No.5 in the BCS rankings.

It'll only be a matter of time before the 'Boomer Sooner' nation gets on top of the mountain but when you have a powerhouse team like the Ohio State Buckeyes waiting for you, getting on top could be something you shouldn't be asking for.
