LA Lakers could see the end of Kobe Bryant Era Soon
Yep, and that could be sooner than these guys think.
As the 2007-08 NBA basketball season draws closer, the Los Angeles Lakers probably have no idea that the era of Kobe Bryant, yes, the same guy who singlehandedly dropped 81 for the second most points ever scored by a player in a single game, could end soon.
And to think that the Los Angeles Lakers let somebody like a Shaquille O'Neal go just to pave the way for what has been the Kobe Bryant show underneath the bright lights of Hollywood the past few years.
With the way Kobe Bryant demanded for a trade last May, dark days are indeed ahead for Tinseltown. Oh yeah, the guy just sat out his third straight practice session with his current team, which probably means Kobe has no intention whatsoever playing with these sick fucks anymore.
As expected, the press were on Kobe's ass, asking him if he has indeed played his final game dressed in purple and gold. Kobe's response was as dumb as someone I know from work.
''I don't know, talk to Mitch and Mr. Buss about that,'' Kobe Bryant said, referring to the Los Angeles Lakers general manager Mitch Kupchak and the team owner Jerry Buss. ''I'm just getting ready. If I'm here, I'm ready to strap it up.''
For a guy who demanded for a trade a few months ago as if his life depends on it, this is definitely not something you were expecting to hear. Adding more confusion to what the Kobe Bryant era in Los Angeles will look like as the 2007-08 NBA basketball season draws closer.
''My job is to play the game and get ready to play the game. That's what I'm doing. I guess people are just intrigued by what's going on around here. I understand that. I have a job to do. One thing I said at training camp was that I didn't want this to be a distraction.''
Kobe, just go to Detroit baby.
