Those steel chair shots to the head killed Chris Benoit
Yep, the poor guy is still being investigated as of press time.
And although the World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) is still refusing to even utter a single word about the death of Chris Benoit (yep, they're actually pretending as if Benoit did not exist these days...) doctors are still investigating what brought Benoit to kill his wife and child before hanging himself.
Recent findings say that Chris Benoit may have severe damage to the brain after suffering numerous concussions throughout his career in pro wrestling. Doctors say that's probably why he killed himself and his family.
You see, taking chair shots to the head is a fan favorite in pro wrestling. Wrestling fans always wait for that moment when a wrestler will pick up a steel chair (for some reason, always found underneath the ring...) and bash the opponent's skull until it cracks open and blood is spilled.
Brutal, yes. But apparently, the viewers like it. Hell, they even have sledgehammers and baseball bats wrapped in barbed wire now so I guess you can say steel chair shots would have to be the ''safest way to bash an opponent's head in.''
The analysis by doctors affiliated with the Sports Legacy Institute suggests that repeated concussions could have contributed to the killings at Benoit's suburban Atlanta home, though there was no way to know for sure.
''Whether it is the sole factor, I believe, is speculation, and I will not go there,'' said Dr. Robert Cantu, a member of the Waltham, Mass.-based institute, which researches the long-term effects of concussions.
''Even if the theories about the effects of continuing trauma on Chris' personality are accurate, they don't rule out Chris' excessive steroid use, which we know he was involved in, as a factor in the murders,'' Richard Decker said, lawyer of Benoit's slain wife. ''In either case, it wouldn't excuse his conduct.''
I say, it's probably too much of Oprah Winfrey. Watching the Oprah Winfrey Show too much will definitely make one crazy.
