Can Terry Glenn's knee be ready for 2007 NFL Season?
It's probably a make or break season for Terry Glenn.
Yep, it's the 2007-08 NFL football season and Terry Glenn probably needs to have one helluva' year to prove he's worthy to catch some footballs from Cowboys superstar Tony Romo.
With Terrell Owens stealing his No.1 receiver role away from him since the Cowboys got him from the Eagles, Terry Glenn, as if he had enough troubles already, got his knee so banged up that his 2007-08 NFL football season is in peril after having arthroscopic knee surgery August 1.
For what it's worth, Terry Glenn is hoping his knee will hold up, enough to have him start for the Dallas Cowboys in the season opener against the New York Giants. ''We'll see,'' he said after the Cowboys Kickoff Luncheon at the Hotel Intercontinental. ''Can't say too much about that right now, but we'll see.''
Terry Glenn, being the veteran that he is, knows that one needs training camp to be in ''regular season form'' so to speak. Unfortunately for Glenn, because of his tender knee, he missed it.
''You've got to do training camp to get ready for a season. Unfortunately, I missed it,'' Terry Glenn said. Glenn had 1,047 receiving yards and six touchdowns last season.
''I've just got to get back and take everything slow and smooth. Hopefully, I can contribute and help our team win Sunday night.'' Yep, the Dallas Cowboys will be facing the New York Giants September 9 Sunday.
