And now... David Beckham could be out of the L.A. Galaxy lineup LONGER this 2007 MLS Soccer Season
After all that shit about making one comeback after another with an injured ankle, things just got from bad to worse for David Beckham.
Yep, David Beckham, the same man the Los Angeles Galaxy paid all that money for, probably to ''save'' soccer in the States or simply give the team more wins for a change, suffered a knee injury in the 2007 SuperLiga final against the Mexican team Pachuca when Fernando Salazar knocked him down to the ground silly.
It has now been two months since David Beckham moved from the Spanish La Liga to Los Angeles. And to say that this two-month stretch was just miserable for Becks could very well be an understatement.
Hell, he spent the past two months trying to play through his ankle injury for his new team, the Los Angeles Galaxy, and just when he's finally getting back to form, a sonuvabitch like Fernando Salazar brakes his knee.
''It's just gone from one thing to another thing. Maybe it is a sign to give it a rest, get it right and not come back until it is right,'' David Beckham said.
Oh by the way, in case you're wondering, the Los Angeles Galaxy lost to Pachuca on penalties to allow the Mexican side win the 2007 SuperLiga final.
''It doesn't feel good. With a ligament strain it is four-to-six weeks. We will have to wait and see,'' David Beckham said. For what it's worth, Beckham is still refusing to rule himself out of the Galaxy's match away against Real Salt Lake on Saturday.
But with his luck in the United States the past two months, he shouldn't be too naïve.
David Beckham's injury problems began when he twisted his ankle playing for his home country England against Estonia in June and aggravated it when playing for Real Madrid 11 days later when the Spanish La Liga giants clinched the league title.
Nothing has changed since he arrived in L.A.
