Can Wizards tie series with Cavaliers in Game 4?
Yep, you just know I'm rooting for the Wizards to do just that.
OVER-RATED. That was the chant echoing around the Verizon Center in Washington D.C. in Game 3 as the Washington faithful got on LeBron James like an irritating rash before their Wizards, facing a 0-2 deficit in their series with Cleveland, beat the Cavaliers in convincing fashion 108-72, to give themselves a chance to tie this best-of-seven affair this Sunday in Game 4.
Those OVER-RATED chants worked perfectly too as the Washington Wizards forced Cleveland to commit costly turnovers that ultimately led the Cavaliers to take themselves out of the ballgame.
23. That's the total number of turnovers the Cleveland Cavaliers committed in this ballgame compared to the 11 Washington had. Yup, we saw a different game than the ones we saw in the first two games of this series as the Wizards dominated the Cavaliers, winning all of the four quarters en route to the convincing victory in Game 3.
How did this happen? Was it because of the Wizards sporting new haircuts? Was it because of Colin Powell sporting a ''White Out'' shirt? Was it because of the inspiration of having Gilbert Arenas in the starting lineup? Or was it because Soulja Boy was inside the arena?
One thing's for sure though, the 2008 NBA playoffs officially started in Washington with a bang.
LeBron James led the way for Cleveland, scoring a game-high 22 points. Unfortunately for the Cavs, James was the only one doing the fight for them as no one from the Cavs scored in double digits other than No.23 and Devin Brown, who came off the bench to score ten.
Wizards star DeShawn Stevenson, the same guy who started calling LeBron James OVER-RATED, dropped 19, including his ''you can't see me'' basket in the third quarter. He was also the one who invited Soulja' Boy into the game to root against LeBron despite having a diehard fan in LeBron's son. (As if that meant anything...)
Game 4 is this Sunday in Washington. Can the Wizards tie this series and make it into a best-of-three affair? The Cavaliers definitely have a lot of things to worry about coming into this one especially after the Wizards made them look THAT bad in Game 3.
