''Could be'' matchups in the East for 2008 NBA Playoffs

The postseason is almost here and it is only normal that we bring what ya'll will probably see in the first round.

The 2008 NBA playoffs are coming, and both conferences from the East and West offer quite intriguing match-ups ya'll will probably enjoy. Let's start this thing in the East where I'll be keeping my fingers crossed that the Pistons finally make it all the way to the NBA Finals again.

Of course, when you talk about the Eastern Conference, only one team probably comes to mind, the Boston Celtics. This team has been dominating every single team in the league, except of course the Washington Wizards who have become the only team to beat Boston thrice this year.

The Celtics will probably have a first round encounter with the young Atlanta Hawks. It'll be a banner year for the Hawks if ever they make it back to the playoffs. The only problem here is, the road stops in Boston.

As far as the Detroit Pistons go, taking care of the Toronto Raptors in the first round shouldn't be a problem. Sure, Raptors star Chris Bosh is quickly becoming one of the premiere stars of the league. But when this guy goes up against a guy like Rasheed Wallace, Bosh will need more than his flashy slam dunks to outplay the 6'11'' Piston forward.

Besides, the Pistons still have guys like Richard Hamilton, Jason Maxiell, Tayshaun Prince and Chauncey Billups and when the Toronto Raptors only have guys like Anthony Parker and T.J. Ford to match-up to those Pistons, they'll definitely have a problem there.

The Orlando Magic, led by Dwight Howard, sit at the no.3 spot and will probably face the Philadelphia 76ers in the first round.

Like the Hawks, the Philadelphia 76ers can also call it a banner year if they make a return to the postseason in the post-Iverson era. Losing in the first round to the Magic shouldn't kill their dreams for the future too.

Last but certainly not the least, the Cleveland Cavaliers face-off with the Washington Wizards in what should be the premiere first round series in the Eastern conference.

The Washington Wizards have caught fire as of late and with the addition of Gilbert Arenas, the Wizards are definitely one tough out in the first round.

LeBron James will need to shit out points in bunches again.
