Curse of the Boston Celtics cheerleaders in the NBA
Maybe the late Boston Celtics head coach, Red Auerbach, knew something.
Since his tenure as the Boston Celtics head coach, Red Auerbach despised the idea of having cheerleaders in an NBA Basketball game. Now that the Celtics cheerleaders made their debut this 2007 NBA Basketball season, the Boston Celtics basketball team can't seem to win games.
Hmm... Are these lovely cheerleaders the one to blame why Paul Pierce and the rest of the Boston Celtics are losing this much? Hmm... At least they have a huge chance of drafting either Greg Oden or Kevin Durant in the NBA Draft. The only problem is, that day is still a LOOONG way from February.
Since legendary NBA head coach Red Auerbach, the patriarch of the once proud Celtics green, passed away, two things he resisted most took to his home court, a dance team and a losing team.
What gives? Are these Celtics losing because of a godforsaken dance team? Well, if you believe that, then you might as well believe that infamous Madden cover curse is causing all them season-ending injuries in the NFL.
Wait, come to think of it, maybe it does. And if that is the truth then the Boston Celtics will be having one fucked up season for sure.
Should Boston Celtics head coach Doc Rivers have the opportunity to coach either Greg Oden or Kevin Durant in the next NBA Basketball season, then perhaps this lengthy trip through purgatory was worth the disappointment. Until then, though, all his fellow coaches can do is send sympathy cards.
Maybe if they get rid of their cheerleaders, will they turn this godforsaken season into a winning one? If they do that, they will take the only remaining reason why Celtics fans come to their home games away.
Can Paul Pierce still lead the Boston Celtics to the NBA Playoffs? Who will win the 2007 NBA Championship? Here are some odds from Bodog:
Miami Heat 4/1 (boo!)
