More Super Bowl XLII facts about Patriots and Giants
By now, you're probably sick and tired of hearing either a Patriots or a Giants reference every single time you take a cigarette break.
Then again, you probably won't be hearing any of it if you're working for ''Queer Eye for the Straight Guy.'' Whatever the case may be, every single football fan will be holding on to their Super Bowl XLII tickets until this Sunday, when it's time to play the biggest game on the gridiron.
And yes, while we wait for that huge football game between the New England Patriots and the New York Giants, we will just bombard all of you with even MORE storylines you probably have already heard the last few days.
Let's start with the New York Giants, this year's heavy underdogs. As of press time, they are +11.5 underdogs, meaning the have to avoid losing by more than 11 points if they want to cover the spread and send the people who have money riding on them home happy.
In case you haven't heard about it by now, the New England Patriots are looking to become the first team since the 1972 Miami Dolphins to finish a full campaign undefeated. They already matched the '72 Dolphins' 16-0 mark and will be looking to become the first 19-0 Super Bowl championship franchise.
The New York Giants played the New England Patriots for their last regular season game back in Week 17. The Patriots won it, BARELY, 38-35, after the Giants had a shocking 21-16 lead over the undefeated Pats at the half.
That game was THE GAME that probably woken up the sleeping Giants, giving them the momentum that carried them through the playoffs and get to the big dance this Sunday at Super Bowl XLII.
New York Giants quarterback Eli Manning will be looking to win his Super Bowl championship ring after his older brother, Indianapolis Colts quarterback Peyton Manning, won his last year.
And last, but certainly not the least, New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady has a hot Brazilian supermodel girlfriend named Gisele Bundchen although this probably has nothing to do with the Pats' chances of winning it all this Sunday.
