Ricky Williams returns (again...) for the Miami Dolphins
Right now, Miami is losing options to win games, in ANY LEAGUE.
When Dwyane Wade returned to the Miami Heat, the city of Miami thought they'll win the moment Wade returned to the court. They lost to Seattle 104-95.
And as pathetic that has become at this point of the sports season, the city of Miami again is hoping they'll start winning, this time in the 2007-08 NFL football season with Ricky Williams making yet another comeback bid for the 0-9 Miami Dolphins.
You read it, the junkie is making another attempt to play for the Miami Dolphins in the NFL. Ricky Williams was scheduled to fly to South Florida for a physical and to meet with new Miami Dolphins head coach, Cam Cameron.
''I want to see where he is, and also let him know where we're headed, and we'll go from there,'' Miami Dolphins head coach Cam Cameron said.
You wanna' let him know where the Miami Dolphins are headed this season? Jeez... One only has to look down their toilet to know that. He he... Of course, they'd do anything to win a game and it won't matter where Ricky Williams is or where the Miami Dolphins are at this point of the season. The Dolphins and Ricky need each other and maybe, just maybe, they'll stop feeling bad for themselves a little bit.
''His indication was they were interested in Ricky,'' Williams' agent Leigh Steinberg said.
''The spirit of the discussion was welcoming. It was a very similar discussion to what you would have regarding a draft choice or any returning player. The only contingent was whether they would have him practice.''
Perhaps Miami Dolphins linebacker Joey Porter, said it best.
''I don't care who you got. If you could run the ball like Ricky did,'' Joey Porter said. ''I mean, right now I'd do anything for a victory.''
