Lakers Star Kobe Bryant traded to the Chicago Bulls
For all ya'll Kobe Bryant fans, check this out.
We all know Kobe Bryant has demanded for a trade even before the 2007-08 NBA basketball season began right? Well, apparently, Kobe was finally traded to the Bulls and it has somewhat, one ''very interesting'' stipulation.
After weeks and weeks of anticipation the entire city of Chicago was put through, waiting for the Kobe Bryant deal to come to fruition, Los Angeles Lakers star Kobe Bryant agreed to be traded to the Chicago Bulls after Bulls GM John Paxson agreed to rename Kobe as... get this... Michael Jordan.
''The Bulls are ecstatic to announce that we've traded for Kobe Bryant today,'' Chicago Bulls general manager John Paxson said. ''Rather I should say, the Chicago Bulls have traded for Michael Jordan.''
The Bulls sent forwards Tyrus Thomas and Andres Nocioni along with guard Ben Gordon to the Los Angeles Lakers in exchange for the player now formerly known as Kobe Bryant. And by special arrangement as part of the deal, the ''new'' Michael Jordan will keep all his stats as Kobe Bryant (both as the No.8 and No.24 versions...) as well as the stats of the first Michael Jordan.
Confused? Let's just put it this way. This Michael Jordan, by the time he retires, already had a career the NBA's best can only dream about. Michael Jordan version two will join teammates Luol Deng and Ben Wallace as they try to bring the title back to the Windy City.
''I'm thrilled to be back with the Bulls, going for my tenth title,'' the new Michael Jordan said. ''I see Luol Deng as being a very similar presence to what we had with Scottie Pippen, and I see Ben Wallace as being a sort of 21st century Dennis Rodman, without the wedding dresses. So overall I really like our chances.''
This sure was funny as hell. And from something dubbed as the most serious sports network ever, getting this stuff sure was unexpected. He he... Oh yeah, in case you didn't get it yet, WE'RE KIDDING.
