An Israeli wants to Hump Steven Gerrard of Liverpool FC

seth-edward-oneal.jpgWell, maybe not but apparently, this dude likes Gerrard so much, the only thing left to do for him is just marry the guy in Israel or something.

Yep, Steven Gerrard, captain of the English football giants, Liverpool FC, has a fan and that fan is Israel football team captain Yossi Benayoun. It turns out that the Israeli captain is such a huge fan of Steven Gerrard that he can't seem to have anything to talk about BUT Steven Gerrard.

''I think Steven Gerrard is the best midfielder in the world, so it is very important for England that he will play,'' Yossi Benayoun said.

For all ya'll who didn't know, Steven Gerrard is currently nursing a broken toe. With Liverpool FC big boss Rafael Benitez already placing Gerrard in the shelf to rest and heal, the possibility of England coach Steve McLaren overruling the Liverpool boss and have him playing for the Euro 2008 qualifiers is definitely interesting.

Yossi Benayoun is Gerrard's teammate in Liverpool and he knows how big a factor Gerrard is for England. ''I have been at Liverpool for two months, and from what I know of him, he will do everything to play for England,'' Benayoun said.

Steve McClaren may have seen his options limited by injuries to key England football stars like Frank Lampard, Wayne Rooney and David Beckham as well as doubts over Gerrard and the suspension of striker Peter Crouch, but Benayoun believes England have plenty of danger men in the squad.

''If Steven Gerrard does not play, then some others will, there are a lot of good England players,'' said the 27-year-old Israeli.

''Even though there might be guys out like Gerrard and Beckham, the players who come in instead of them are also good players and play at the highest level every week, so it will be difficult anyway.''
