Steve Francis is back in Houston to salvage NBA career

Well, what's left of it anyway.

Yep, the ''Franchise'' is back in Houston as Steve Francis signed a two-year deal with the Houston Rockets worth roughly $6 million. Yep, apparently, those guys from Houston were still willing to pay Stevie Franchise THAT much, despite the fact that he basically plays like a moron these days.

Steve Francis signed with the Houston Rockets in what Francis is hoping to be a successful return to this part of Texas where he virtually became a household name. For Francis' sake, let's sure hope this one works out for him for a change.

Since Francis left one-third of the NBA's dominant Texas triangle, he was never the same player we all loved to watch in the past. Francis was traded to the Orlando Magic for Tracy McGrady and although T-Mac became the Rockets' new star in Houston, Stevie Franchise failed to live up to the hype in Florida.

Steve Francis was then traded to the New York Knicks to form what was suppose to be a quick and deadly backcourt combination with Stephon Marbury. However, instead of teaming up with Stephon, Francis barely played some games for the Knicks after being hampered with numerous injuries throughout his stay in New York City.

Jeez... Can you believe this guy?

In the 2007 NBA Draft, Steve Francis was traded by the Knicks to the Portland Trailblazers for Zach Randolph probably to clear up some salary cap space. The Blazers agreed to buy out Francis' contract as a condition of the trade.

That's when the Houston Rockets come in.

''It's great opportunity, I'm definitely excited,'' Steve Francis said. ''This is a pretty astonishing moment right now. I am still caught up in the hype.''

Don't worry Stevie, we won't.
