Daunte Culpepper to play for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in the coming 2007-08 NFL football season?

It looks like those guys from Tampa want to have every single quarterback who wants to salvage what's left of their NFL career.

And the latest of which is former Minnesota Vikings/ former Miami Dolphins QB Daunte Culpepper. Culpepper has been released by the Miami Dolphins from his contract a few days ago and being the businessman that he is, Culpepper is beginning to entertain his suitors, who's left of them anyway.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers head coach Jon Gruden has this thing with old and retiring quarterbacks. He had one when he was coaching the Oakland Raiders, rejuvenating the career of journeyman Rich Gannon.

When he got to Tampa, he had Brad Johnson, as he took the Bucs all the way to the Super Bowl in his very first season with the team.

Coming to the brand new 2007-08 NFL football season, Jon Gruden finally did one better, he has not only signed one aging veteran, not two, good God almighty, the sick fuck now has THREE. (Provided of course if Culpepper signs with the team...)

If Daunte Culpepper suits up with the Tampa Bay Bucs, he will join other veterans like former Denver Broncos QB Jake Plummer and former Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Jeff Garcia.

Oh yeah, the Bucs STILL have other QBs in their depth chart who doesn't smell like soil just yet. They still have last season's project Bruce Gradkowski, the young Luke McCown and of course, the injury-plagued Chris Simms. Hell, these guys even have two rookie QBs Zac Taylor and Bruce Eugene, for a grand total of seven field generals.

Eight if Culpepper joins what is already a packed QB depth chart.

Who will be the favorites to win Super Bowl XLII in Glendale, Arizona? Here are the odds from Bodog:

San Diego Chargers 6/1

New England Patriots 10/1

Chicago Bears 8/1

Indianapolis Colts 7/1
