DARK-o Days begin in Memphis, signs Darko Milicic

DAMMIT, these guys never learn.

After a dismal rookie season (and a few more after that one...) with the Detroit Pistons, after an improved but STILL pathetic few years with the Orlando Magic, Darko Milicic brings his stupid game to the Memphis Grizzlies in what should convince Pau Gasol more to ask for a trade out of Tennessee.

Yep, the Memphis Grizzlies actually signed Darko Milicic to a three-year contract, letting this guy destroy their franchise for three looong years and probably irritate their superstar Pau Gasol waaay longer than that.

Milicic's agent, Marc Cornstein, who is probably STILL hoping for a ''Jerry Maguire'' story to happen between him and his pathetic client, refused to disclose the amount of the deal but rumor has it that Darko Milicic will be earning more than the $5.3 million mid-level exception as a starting salary.

Talk about an overpaid sonuvabitch eh?

''We are extremely excited for this new opportunity,'' Cornstein said. ''Darko's going to a team that really wants him. He's going to a young team with an exciting bright future much like his own.''

Yup, I'm confused too on what bright future the guy's talking about for his client.

''We're very excited Darko gets to learn from coach Marc Iavaroni. We believe he's one of the best big men coaches in the game. And we couldn't be happier that he has found a new home where he's appreciated.''

''Memphis has really pursued Darko since the moment he became an unrestricted free agent last week,'' Cornstein said. ''And I'm grateful for the opportunity they'll be providing for Darko at this stage of his career.''

Okay Mr. Cornstein, we got 'cha. Now go to bed before the Grizzlies come to their senses.
