Because with the 2008 NBA Draft near, the road for the 2009 NBA championship begins. Will we see the next sensation in this year's draft who will upstage LeBron James or will we see another team make a big mistake and watch a rookie be as miserable on the court as Darko Milicic?

The 2008 NBA Draft, slated on June 26 at the world's most famous arena in Madison Square Garden, is all set. The big question now is, who are this year's top prospects?

To start off, we begin with the possible overall number one pick Michael Beasley, a power-forward from Kansas State who is already making some noise around the NBA. Beasley is touted to be the best outside-inside talent in the draft and he is a sure lock to go No.1 overall.

Beasley will be most likely followed by either Derrick Rose or O.J Mayo. The former, a freshman from Memphis, believed to be the best pure point guard in the draft and arguably the most physically gifted point guard to enter the NBA since Baron Davis.

While the latter, O.J Mayo, a freshman from USC, is perceived by many NBA scouts to have the talent to be a great scorer in the NBA. He is also believed to be one of the best college players to enter the draft.

Other NBA Draft prospects include Jerryd Bayless, a 6-3 point guard from Arizona. He is an athletic guard, putting up big numbers as a freshman at Arizona. While Stanford's center, Brook Lopez, is perceived by people as a big, athletic center who can produce huge numbers in the NBA like he did in the Pac-10.

Next we have Anthony Randolph, a power-forward from LSU. NBA scouts see him as a long, athletic big man who reminds them of Chris Bosh.

These names are just a few of what should be one of the most talented pool of athletes to enter the draft. Let the road for the 2009 NBA title begin.
