Jose Mourinho, Frank Lampard to reunite in Inter Milan?
Yes, to the loving soccer fans outside the United States, that's almost as big as a ''dream'' reunification between Shaq and Kobe.
While the battle rages on at the 2008 UEFA European Football Championships, big news started brewing at the San Siro. For all ya'll who have no idea what that is, it's home to the football team Inter Milan and now that former Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho is running things there, news like this one wasn't that surprising at all.
His first big move as new manager of Inter Milan? Lure Chelsea FC striker Frank Lampard to the team. While Lampard has showed no intentions of joining his former coach in his new club the last few weeks, his people is showing some positive signs now that the Chelsea FC striker just might make the move after all.
''At the moment I've been on holiday for about a week,'' Franco Granello said, the agent of current Chelsea striker Frank Lampard. ''But it doesn't seem to me that Lampard's transfer has already been completed.''
''I have a meeting with Inter in 10 days but for now I'm enjoying the rest, seeing as I have so little.''
This ''Frank Lampard saga'' is the only thing going for English football since they have no impact whatsoever with the ongoing Euro 2008 tournament. Lampard said he wants to stay with Chelsea but is demanding a four-year contract extension to his current one.
Chelsea FC is reportedly only prepared to offer him half of what their striker wants.
The Italian champions wanted Frank Lampard playing for them for quite a long time now. But now that Jose Mourinho, Lampard's former coach, now the negotiator, this is probably the best opportunity Inter Milan has ever had of landing the awesome striker.
Let's see what happens next. Maybe we'll find out even before the Euro 2008 ends eh?
