Eagles visit the 10-0 Patriots for Sunday Night Football

And just like that, you can already smell New England's 11th straight win on the football field.

And it won't be because the Patriots just can't be beat this 2007-08 NFL football season or the fact that Philadelphia Eagles QB Donovan McNabb is injured yet again. It's plain and simple this Sunday night folks, Philly just can't beat New England.

The New England Patriots are perfect against the Philadelphia Eagles since 2000. THAT means whenever these two teams meet during the new millennium, the birds always fall flat on their asses. And with the way the Patriots are playing these days, setting records after another this year, that trend should continue on Sunday Night Football.

Heck, with the Philadelphia Eagles leader, Donovan McNabb, out with an injury yet again, how in the hell can these Eagles expect to outlast a team led by Tom Brady who's always looking to outscore the opponent by at least 50 goddamn points? Oh yeah, in case you missed it, yeah, McNabb is injured again.

In what should be the ''least surprising story of the NFL season,'' Donovan McNabb is out of the Philadelphia Eagles roster after suffering another injury. McNabb sprained his right ankle and injured the thumb on his throwing hand in a victory over the winless Miami Dolphins.

Although winning a game without a quarterback just might work against the Dolphins these days, it won't against the Patriots. McNabb's status is day-to-day, and it's possible the rest of the Philadelphia Eagles might not know whether McNabb or backup A.J. Feeley will start Sunday night until shortly before kickoff.

For what it's worth, the rest of the Eagles remain optimistic about their chances against New England on Sunday night, even though facing the Patriots without a quarterback probably means they'll get the ASS-KICKING of a lifetime.

''Every team can be beaten, that's a given,'' Philadelphia Eagles safety Brian Dawkins said after an ugly 17-7 victory over the Miami Dolphins evened Philly's record for the first time this season. ''There's no team that's played the game that can't be beaten. We, as a team, want to go in there and do what we can so we can get a win up there.''

Well, wishful thinking is always free right?
