Top 5 ranked teams in 2007-08 College Football season

Obviously, not many of you will agree but this is the official top five teams as ranked by them coaches.

Surprisingly, the defending NCAA college football champs, Florida Gators, STILL doesn't have the respect from the league, denying them of that coveted No.1 overall ranking. (Maybe because they saw Gator alumni Rex Grossman, and how badly he sucked during Super Bowl XLI...)

As far as the overall No.1 raking is concerned heading to the brand new 2007-08 NCAA college football season, that goes to Southern California and their powerhouse team, the USC Trojans.

Yep, the USC Trojans, collectively, is the No.1-ranked team in the nation. Heck, these guys came close to playing for the BCS national championship for a fourth consecutive time last year and despite last season's disappointment, they are still revered as the team to beat.

Not far behind are the LSU Tigers. Ranked No.2 overall, the Tigers will be coming into the brand new season hoping to win the BCS title again in New Orleans. You see, the last time the BCS championship was in New Orleans, these Tigers won it in front of thousands of LSU Tigers fans. But if they can't find a replacement for JaMarcus Russell soon, (who is now in the NFL...) don't expect them Tigers to win... ANYTHING.

The defending NCAA college football champions, Florida Gators, are ranked No.3 in the country. Tim Tebow will be taking over the quarterback position now in a team that has done some serious retooling both in the offensive and defensive side of the field. Clearly, this is not the same team that won the BCS national title last season and their only chance this year to win the title again is have Joakim Noah play receiver, probably.

The Texas Longhorns, after stealing the title away from the Trojans during the Vince Young era, is probably back for greatness again with second-year QB Colt McCoy leading the way. They are ranked No.4 and with experienced receivers surrounding their sophomore quarterback, they could be the team to watch in the Big 12.

Last but certainly not the least, at No.5 is the powerhouse Michigan Wolverines team. Back-to-back losses is definitely not the way you want to end a season and Michigan did just that last year. That should make them Wolverines ''Logan-like'' coming to the 2007-08 NCAA college football season. Quarterback Chad Henne and TB Mike Hart still leads the Michigan side but what these guys need to do is improve the freaking defense. Please...
