Kyle Busch playing the hate game on his Hendrick Motorsports teammates in 2007 NASCAR Season
For all ya'll who didn't know, Dale Earnhardt Jr. will take Kyle Busch's seat in Hendrick Motorsports and the kid doesn't like it one bit.
Yep, with the current situation in DEI Racing, Dale Earnhardt Jr. decided to leave the team his father built and join Hendrick Motorsports by the end of the 2007 NASCAR Nextel Cup season.
And with Kyle Busch the one picked by the team to vacate his seat for the more popular Earnhardt, it turns out that the young Busch has been having problems with his team since, including his teammates; Jeff Gordon, Jimmie Johnson and Casey Mears.
Kyle Busch, a few weeks ago, talked about how disappointed he was with his teammates after he claimed they didn't help him win at Daytona this season. Busch then said, ''If I have to race my teammates now differently than what I used to, then I'll do it.''
Busch claimed that Jeff Gordon blew him off after Daytona, something Gordie denies, and now he feels like an outsider in the Hendrick Motorsports team. His comments a few days ago in Chicago even brought more fire to this brewing rivalry between Busch and his soon-to-be former team.
For what it's worth, Busch sounded apologetic in Indianapolis.
''I have started a lot of it myself,'' Busch said before last Sunday's Nextel Cup race at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway. ''I have made a lot of mistakes and opened my mouth too much.''
''It has just been a difficult time, and everything just feels like it is more under a microscope,'' Busch said. ''And when you don't have things quite go your way or the right way, you tend to think it is because they are not helping you or wanting to help you because you aren't going to be there.''
Busch blamed all his frustrations on the fact that he is being forced out of Hendrick Motorsports to make way for Dale Earnhardt Jr. and search for a new team. Busch's choices are now down to Joe Gibbs Racing, Evernham Motorsports and ironically, Dale Earnhardt Inc.
