Will we see a classic 2007 FA Cup Final between rivals Manchester United and Chelsea Saturday?
Well, Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho wants one.
Known for his psychological tactics before any huge football game, Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho was yapping and yapping about his rivals again before their epic 2007 FA Cup Final on Saturday at Wembley Stadium.
Chelsea will play rivals Manchester United for the last cup of the season, the 2007 FA Cup, and as much as Chelsea wants to win this one after losing the Premiership title to Man-U, Mourinho STILL wants a ''classic match.'' What he meant by that, only he can tell.
''Everybody has a responsibility in the final, everybody, me, Sir Alex, the players, referee Mr. Bennett and his assistants. I will be very sad and disappointed if the final is not a good event, a fair event, without problems, with a good winner and proud loser,'' Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho said.
He adds, ''I want to win but Man-United want to win. Chelsea gave a good example of how to behave when we lost the Premiership crown. I would be disappointed if some of the players were diving or trying to get others red-carded, I would be very disappointed with that.''
Hmm... Trying to influence the game officials' calls already heading to the 2007 FA Cup Final? He he... Well, it is very well documented that Manchester United superstar, Cristiano Ronaldo, tends to take dives a lot every time the young gunner attacks the opposing team's penalty box.
You just know Jose Mourinho had this in mind when he was making such comments.
''Mr. Bennett has enough experience and has had a very low profile season. In a referee, a low profile is the best quality he can have,'' Mourinho added. ''When you don't remember a referee in the game then it is because he was perfect. Mr. Bennett has had a low profile season and it is a big event for him.''
Yep, Jose Mourinho is truly the master of psychological warfare.
