Real Madrid wants David Beckham to play on Sunday when they face fellow title candidate Sevilla
It seems David Beckham just wanted time to fly until he joins the Los Angeles Galaxy in the United States.
Let me explain, David Beckham was handed his 10th yellow card of the season when he was found guilty of, get this, ''wasting time'' in the 74th minute of Real Madrid's 4-1 bashing of Athletic Bilbao.
As a result, he was handed his 10th yellow card of the season, making him ineligible to play one game for Real Madrid. He he... Yep, and to think that Beckham had only SIX games remaining before he shifts to the United States and play in the MLS (Major League Soccer) he he... What's the matter Beck'? Tired of Real Madrid already?
David Beckham received his 10th yellow card of the season for time-wasting in the 74th minute of Madrid's 4-1 win over Athletic Bilbao last Sunday. Players incur an automatic one-game suspension with every five yellow cards.
Madrid argues the midfielder had delayed taking a free kick because Bilbao midfielder Fran Yeste was standing closer than the allowed 10 yards (9.15 meters).
The club will reportedly provide Spain's soccer federation with video evidence which shows Beckham had only waited to ask referee Cesar Muniz Fernandez to enforce the distance rule. Suspension would leave Beckham with a maximum of only five games remaining before he joins the Los Angeles Galaxy in August.
He he... Looks like Beckham just doesn't want to play a single game for Real Madrid anymore huh? Well, if you have the Los Angeles Galaxy waiting for you in the MLS more than capable of giving you all the dough you can handle unlike Real Madrid who just keeps on paying you chump change, you will waste time too.
Well, for what it's worth, Beckham's suspension has been lifted and yes, Becks WILL play for Real Madrid on Sunday after all.
