Manchester United - Chelsea Rivalry in FA Cup Final

seth-edward-oneal.jpgIT'S ON now as the rivalry between the Manchester United Red Devils and the Chelsea FC Blues will be taken to another level this Saturday.

Yep, the two big boys of the English Premiere League will collide Saturday as the Red Devils and the Blues play for the last cup of the English football season, the FA Cup. After everything that's been said, (and that's all coming from Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho...) probably the best rivalry in all of football will be on display at Wembley Stadium for the 2007 FA Cup Final.

Chelsea will come to this huge FA Cup Final, hobbled with injuries. And yeah, their backs will be up against the wall alright. The Blues will miss the services of explosive striker Andriy Shevchenko, defender Ricardo Carvalho and, probably their biggest loss, superstar Michael Ballack.

To make things worse for Chelsea, three more key players could be out for Saturday's rivalry championship fixture against Manchester United. LB Ashley Cole, wingman Arjen Robben and midfielder Mikel John Obi are all waiting for fitness updates, STILL looking for the green light to play.

On the other hand, Manchester United will come to the 2007 FA Cup Final as the new English Premier League champions.

The Red Devils were able to dethrone Chelsea in the Premiership this season and they will be looking to down the Blues one more time to win the FA Cup. Man-U's Michael Carrick knows what's at stake Saturday, and he wants the FA Cup BAD.

''Sometimes finals are exciting, on other occasions they are not,'' Michael Carrick said. ''Being back at Wembley does give the match a bit of extra spice. In the back of your mind, you really wanted to be part of it.''

''But we are not interested in going there and losing, so as long as we are lifting that trophy at the end I am not too bothered whether it is a good game or not.''
