Colts and Saints meet in 2007 NFL Football Season Opener
Yep, the 2007-08 NFL Football schedule has been released, partially anyway, as the defending Super Bowl XLI champions Indianapolis Colts meet the NFC runner-up New Orleans Saints, in the season opener.
The partial schedule released features a balanced feature of games as both Fox and NBC received big interconference matchups. First, we'll have an offensive showdown between the Indianapolis Colts with the ever consistent Peyton Manning facing the New Orleans Saints led by the inconsistently explosive Drew Brees.
Next, we'll see the Chicago Bears and the San Diego Chargers play what should be a defensive-minded NFL Football game. Bears MLB Brian Urlacher will go up against the Chargers' defensive powerhouse, ''Lights Out'' Shawn Merriman, in a game where both of the team's quarterbacks will probably suck like a five-dollar Las Vegas whore.
NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell disclosed a partial list of the league's TV schedule at the NFL owners meeting in Phoenix.
This Colts-Saints game to begin the 2007 NFL Football season could be big for the Super Bowl XLI MVP Peyton Manning. After all, Peyton's dad, Archie, was a former Saints quarterback thus making Peyton love them Saints growing up.
Peyton Manning will be coming into this game as a Super Bowl champion for the first time in his illustrious career so he would just love it if he can open up the 2007 NFL Football season with a four-touchdown performance.
Kickoff is on September 6, Thursday night on NBC.
