Jason Giambi is a SNITCH and MLB Baseball likes it

Yep, New York Yankees slugger Jason Giambi is a SNITCH.

For all ya'll who don't know, Jason Giambi was one of many who used steroids in hopes of someday, becoming the next Barry Bonds and have all sorts of home run records on that diamond.

Well, the New York Yankees star confessed to all them steroids use, hell, he even helped the league in tracking down all the other MLB baseball players who use the illegal performance-enhancing drug.

And because of his somewhat insincere assistance to the league, (probably to save his own ass...) MLB commissioner Bud Selig won't be slapping Giambi any disciplinary action whatsoever in this 2007 MLB baseball season for his steroids use.

''It's over and done with. I'm thrilled with it. He did what he needed to do, now I can go forward,'' Jason Giambi said. ''I can go forward and not hurt the ballclub with a suspension.''

Commissioner Bud Selig said, ''he's doing a lot of public-service work, and I think that's terribly important. I think it's more important for us to keep getting the message out. He was, I thought, very frank and candid with Sen. Mitchell, at least that was the senator's conclusion. Given everything, this is an appropriate decision.''

Senator George Mitchell is the same man Giambi helped in tracking down MLB players who used steroids. Selig threatened to discipline Giambi if he refused to cooperate with the senator.

''Sen. Mitchell was great. We got along great. He knew I was in a tough situation and at the same time it was great the way he went about it,'' Giambi said. ''I'm just one piece of a huge puzzle.''

As for the rest of the New York Yankees? Well, they're just glad it's over.

''The fact that it's over and done with, it's a little less he has to deal with. It's closure. It's something he treated with a great deal of respect,'' Yankees manager Joe Torre said. ''The fact that he can just concentrate on baseball is good for all of us.''

Until of course, somebody catches Alex Rodriguez taking them too.

Who will win the 2007 MLB World Series Championship? Bodog has the odds.

New York Yankees 7/2

Boston Red Sox 9/1

Detroit Tigers 5/1

St. Louis Cardinals 9/1
