Can Jeff Gordon be King of Autism on NASCAR Sunday?
Of course, as far as kings of autism goes, no one bests that self-proclaimed king in Cleveland, LeBron James.
On Sunday, June 3, NASCAR racing will visit Dover International Speedway for Autism Speaks 400 as they look to crown the ultimate and undisputed king of autism. (He he...)
Seriously, the Autism Speaks 400 is on Sunday as the top NASCAR drivers of the world play for the purse of $5,781,700 at the 1.0 mile track. Matt Kenseth saw the checkered flag the last time NASCAR racing was here but coming to this Sunday's race, it sure looks like a new ''autistic'' champ will be crowned.
Jeff Gordon. (Or basically any other driver from Hendrick Motorsports...)
As good as Matt Kenseth of Roush Racing is, Hendrick Motorsports has been on fire as of late behind their no.1 driver, Jeff Gordon, who is currently lording over the 2007 Nextel Cup standings.
Hendrick Motorsports has accomplished more than any other team in NASCAR. They have now won 157 races since Geoff Bodine gave them their first ever win in 1984. They have also won six Nextel Cup titles since Jeff Gordon won the first of his four in 1995.
This 2007 NASCAR season sure looks like it's going to be one helluva' year for them too.
They've been so good lately that even Casey Mears is starting to get some. After Mears won his first ever Nextel Cup race this season, it means all Hendrick Motorsports drivers have now gotten past the checkered flag in the first 12 races of the season.
This is the first time a NASCAR team has done that since Petty Enterprises in 1971.
Can Jeff Gordon win the Autism Speaks 400 at Dover International Speedway on Sunday? Here are the odds from Bodog.
Jeff Gordon 5/1
Dale Earnhardt Jr. 12/1
Matt Kenseth 9/1
Jimmie Johnson 4/1
