Is Wayne Rooney Done? Is Cristiano Ronaldo the new king in the Manchester United Kingdom?
I guess karma is a huge David Beckham fan eh?
And maybe karma is telling Wayne Rooney, ''Take the spotlight away from David Beckham and I'll do the same thing to you.'' And in case you missed the 2006 FIFA World Cup in Germany, that's what exactly happened.
Yep, after Wayne Rooney virtually stole the spotlight away from David Beckham at the 2006 FIFA World Cup, someone is doing the exact same thing to Rooney these days. And guess what, it's none other than his Manchester United teammate, Cristiano Ronaldo.
So will Wayne Rooney go to the United States and play in the MLS now? Just like Beckham? Um... Maybe not. Rooney is welcoming the idea that yeah, Cristiano Ronaldo is definitely coming to his own these days. Hell, Rooney even called his teammate from Man-U ''the best player in the world.''
Of course, believing that a guy like Wayne Rooney really believes all these horseshit coming out of his mouth is just being naïve.
Cristiano Ronaldo, the young and tricky Portuguese winger has illuminated Manchester United's Premiership title charge and even won a bet with manager Sir Alex Ferguson by scoring 18 goals so far this campaign.
Ronaldo's performances have shifted the Old Trafford spotlight away from Wayne Rooney, who has been playing, um... for a lack of a better term, PATHETIC lately. Rooney went 10 games without a goal earlier in the season.
But the England striker insists he does not care who takes the plaudits, he just relishes the chance to play alongside Ronaldo. ''I'm just delighted that he's playing for us because at this moment in time he is the best player in the world, not just the best young player, but the best player full stop,'' Rooney said. Notice the ''at this moment in time'' crap? Hmm...
He then adds, ''There's certainly no jealousy on my part over that. You want to play with the best players, and it's great to be in the same team as Cristiano.''
Yeah right.
