The Best of the Best in NBA Basketball

And NO, the Miami Heat ain't in it. Ha ha!

Isn't the world all nice and sweet again with the stupid Miami Heat having all this trouble as we head to the NBA All Star break? Yep, the first half of the NBA Basketball season is about to end and the Miami Heat is still, as John Madden puts it, FUMBLING and BUMBLING all around.

He he...

So, with the Miami Heat quickly becoming the pathetic whipping boys of the league, who's the top dawg? Well, the Detroit Pistons ain't it yet but you just know that they will, sooner or later.

Here are the top teams of NBA Basketball as of press time.

Dallas Mavericks. Yep, Dirk Nowitzki and his boys are back at it again, picking up where they they left off after being screwed by Miami and those NBA referees during the last NBA Championship series. Of course, when you're the no.1 team in the NBA, you must have AT LEAST two All-Stars. Having said that, Josh Howard MUST go to Vegas for the All-Star game. Although I still doubt if he can get the invite.

Los Angeles Lakers. Oh yeah, Tinseltown is back in contention for the NBA title. After a year of being as pathetic as Miami has these days, the Lakers are back playing great basketball again. Is it because of Kobe's new no.24 jersey? Um... NO... It's because of Kobe's newly found maturity.

Cleveland Cavaliers. As much as I hate to put the rival Cavs in here, I have to with the way these guys are playing as of late. Of course, the Cavaliers are still being led by LeBron James and I don't see anything that can change that. Stopping the Cavs this season is still as simple as ever, just like last year, STOP LeBRON.

Of course, whenever I do this ''top teams in the NBA'' thing, you just know that the Detroit Pistons are doing good. Heck, why would I bother doing this anyway if the Pistons are playing like Miami? This season, the Pistons are playing without Ben Wallace and it seems the Pistons don't miss the big guy at all.

They are still one of the top teams in the East and they are still the team that will put Miami out of its misery. After kicking LeBron's ass all around the court of course.

Can the Detroit Pistons reach the NBA Finals? Who will win the 2007 NBA Championship? Here are some odds from Bodog:

Chicago Bulls 7/1

Detroit Pistons 9/1

Dallas Mavericks 7/2

Miami Heat 4/1 (boo!)
