Can the Indianapolis Colts overcome their Injuries?

Yes, injuries are plaguing one of the best teams in football.

While we count down the remaining days left before the 2008-09 NFL football season kicks off, the Colts are on dangerous grounds these days with three of their main stars injured.

Bob Sanders has an injured shoulder, Marvin Harrison has an injured knee, Dwight Freeney's Lisfranc and probably the biggest of them all, Peyton Manning has an infected bursa sac.

With all these injuries, you've got to wonder, can these guys keep up with their AFC rivals, New England Patriots, and climb back on top of the mountain like they did a year ago?

Being the competitors that they are, the Indianapolis Colts are not giving up on hope just yet, after all, the brand new season is yet to start. In fact, they are coming into the season with a whole lot of confidence, claiming that they may have put together one of their most talented rosters in franchise history.

You have to wonder how in the hell can these guys claim that with their leader Peyton Manning out at least a month. STILL, Colts team president Bill Polian likes his team's chances this season. It is up to us to determine if all these are nothing more but wishful thinking.

''Talentwise, I think we're a bit better, but that remains to be seen,'' Bill Polian said. ''We'll find that out over the course of the preseason. I never make any judgments at this point, nor do I pay any attention to offseason standings.''

The Colts' chances of winning the big one again solely depends on the availability of their injured quarterback Peyton Manning.

Manning led the Colts to a Super Bowl win over the Chicago Bears in Miami and now that Super Bowl XLIII will return to Florida, the Colts would love to have Peyton back and get them another championship ring there again.

Besides, he can't just sit back and let little brother Eli have all the fun right?

Who will win Super Bowl XLIII in Tampa, Florida? Sportsbetting.com has the odds on that one people.

New York Giants 12-1

New England Patriots 5-2

Dallas Cowboys 7-1

Indianapolis Colts 8-1
