BMW Sauber is happy about their 2008 F1 campaign

seth-edward-oneal.jpgNo matter what happens from this day onwards, BMW Sauber will be calling this season a dream one.

In case you've been living under a rock lately, BMW Sauber has been surprising racing fans this 2008 F1 season. Collectively, they are second fastest behind Ferrari for the constructors championship.

Their drivers? Robert Kubica and Nick Heidfeld sit four and five respectively behind Ferrari's Felipe Massa, who is in second place, and Kimi Raikkonen, who sits third.

BMW Sauber has really proven a point this season, ultimately giving their future a brighter light to it.

After Robert Kubica secured BMW's maiden win of the season in Canada, the Hinwil-based squad has already exceeded expectations and with still the second half of the F1 season ahead, this team is looking to surprise us even further.

''We are having an excellent season,'' Kubica's teammate Nick Heidfeld told the German media.

''We have already achieved three best marks: the first fastest lap, the first pole position, and the first victory.''

''Robert is coming out on top in some driving situations, particularly when it comes to heating the tires up in qualifying. Our different driving styles play a role in this,'' he adds, referring to his teammate.

''I would describe my driving style as very rounded and gentle on the car and tires. It was this that allowed me to keep going for 41 laps on the super-soft tires in Canada at the start of June.''

Can they keep this streak alive once the 2008 F1 Hungarian Grand Prix gets going?
