Which teams from the Eastern Conference and Western Conference will meet in the 2008 NBA Finals?

Right now, it's anybody's guess.

But since we already have all sorts of trades surrounding the 2007-08 NBA basketball season, we couldn't help but make our early predictions already. And as much as J.J. Jack continues to root for his Detroit Pistons, there won't be any Pistons in my dream NBA Finals match-up.

Teams on both the Eastern and Western Conference have made their significant moves before the trading deadline. There's this blockbuster trade in the wild wild West, sending Shaquille O'Neal to the Phoenix Suns from the Miami Heat for Shawn Marion and Marcus Banks after the Los Angeles Lakers acquired Pau Gasol from the Memphis Grizzlies in exchange for Kwame Brown and Javaris Crittenton.

In the Eastern Conference, the New Jersey Nets got Stromile Swift for Jason Collins in hopes of shaking things up a bit in the East. Of course, when you talk about the East, none is still bigger than the moves the Boston Celtics made before this season that landed them BOTH Kevin Garnett and Ray Allen.

That was a series of deals that instantly made the Boston Celtics from whipping biys to title contenders. And in case you didn't get that, YES, the Boston Celtics will be in the 2008 NBA Finals.

We saw how the ''Big Three'' of Kevin Garnett, Paul Pierce and Ray Allen changed the once losers in the East to become an instant title contender in a relatively soft conference. The Boston Celtics just might be THAT good to finish the season with a 67-15 record.

While I probably have my title contenders set in the East, it's a toss up in the West. Will Shaquille O'Neal fit in with the Phoenix Suns and get the team over the hump to finally reach the NBA Finals or will Pau Gasol be the missing piece towards a title for the Los Angeles Lakers?

I'd say this though, whoever comes out of the West will have a run for their money facing the Eastern Conference's three-headed monster.
