It's Lewis Hamilton vs Felipe Massa again in Singapore
You read it, with one point separating these two, the race for the championship is as close as it can get.
With the 2008 F1 season resuming in Singapore, two drivers looking for the world championship at the end of the season will be going at it at full force, both looking to have the advantage when the engines start rolling.
And in case you're not following, the face-off between Lewis Hamilton and Felipe Massa will continue in the very first night race in Formula One, the 2008 F1 Singapore Grand Prix, and since it's another close finish for the championship, we're in for another classic.
Lewis Hamilton still leads the drivers' championship with 78 points while Felipe Massa is not far behind with 77. But since Massa is closing in on Hamilton's lead after each race, the momentum heading to Singapore is clearly with Ferrari's Brazilian icon.
That's why Lewis Hamilton knows beating Massa should be on top of his priority list.
''He (Massa) is the guy I have to beat. He has a good car and is a good driver,'' Lewis Hamilton said. ''Singapore is a night time circuit, which none of us have experienced before, but we'll be OK. I have to make every sacrifice in the last four races. I honestly feel confident in my ability to win the championship.''
Of course, Massa also knows what to do and that's keep his ass in front of Hamilton. Rain is the forecast for Singapore and since he always thrives under wet weather conditions, this Sunday's race just might give Massa the best opportunity to finally grab the championship lead from the British sensation.
''This year, we have seen a lot of rain in the races,'' Felipe Massa said.
''But we are keeping our feet on the ground and we are working day by day. All I must do is to keep trying and make sure I'm in front of Hamilton.''
